School
of Dance Nava Slonimaski-Ran, school founder and artistic manager for the past 15 years, Seminar Ha'Kibbutzim graduate of the Movement & Dance course. Finished her advanced dance studies in The London Contemporary Dance School, UK. New York- "Broadway Dance Center" "Dance Space" In addition, Nava participated in Jazz dance at The Pineapple Dance Center and in various advanced studies courses in Israel for dancers and professional dance instructors (Bat Dor, Bat Sheva & more). Nava, second generation of dance teacher, grew up in a dance environment and was influenced by the best possible dance artists in the country: Miya Arbatoba, Gertrude Kraus and the late Yaakov Kalasky. Her father, a tap dance teacher, one at the first pionneers of top dancing establishment in Israel the infamous tap dance artists, "The Tuvia Brothers". In 1985, upon opening her first dance studio, Nava was unique in teaching the new & advanced Jazz style, a dance style that attracted many pupils who were the base from which the dance groups were formed. |

The New School Three years ago, the school moved to its new address at 119 Achuza St. in the "City Center" building (at the back of Bank Discount), Ra'anana. The school has 3 magnificent air conditioned dance studios, built according to international standards that include a special shock-absorbent, multi-layer wood floor that helps prevent dance injuries. All three studios are open during the afternoons and evenings. The Teachers The school's teachers are all graduates of academic institutions and have a rich local and international dance experience. The Pupils Our school receives pupils from the tender age of 4, who attend creative- dance class held by Ravital Ginsburg (from the Hop-2 cable channell) and continue dancing till their army service (18). Some even return after their service in order to continue-dancing. The Dance Groups The groups were formed in order to create a stage where pupils-teachers creativity may be expressed. Nava's inspiration and creativity led to the formation of the very first representative dance group in 1986. At present we are proud of our wide variety of groups that perform many different dance styles such as Jazz, Tap, Classic, Modern & others. Among our many stages of performance were shows such as "Dan Shilon", The Children's Channel, The Educational Channel, I.B.A - TV Suzanne Delal dance Festivals & many more. Every year we dance away the night with a dazzling show at the main Independence Day celebrations in Ra'anana.  Study Plan The dance school strongly believes in directing its pupils to combine several dance styles, in order to improve and perfect their technical-performance level and to develop independent artistic consciousness. Personal guidance for each and every pupil enables us to provide a specific study plan, based on the pupil's individual talent and ability. Open Classes And Annual Performances During the months of dance lessons the parents are invited to particapate as guests during mid-term in a live session. and ofcourse, attend the finalizing show and enjoy the treat of our "end of the year shows" on July. |
